Moving Forward

It’s days later and you’re wondering what to do with yourself. You work, there’s plenty of that. But you don’t know what comes next.
The hype had died down and voices begin to murmur, speculate and draw opinions (from the murmurs and speculation). No one really believes it. There was a celebration but nothing that felt authentic, relying heavily on pomp, despite the circumstance.

The hope is reserved for the lovers. People who really love one another. Feeling new. The fear is for the seasoned, prepared to absorb the disappointment of reality. You decide if it warrants a smile.
